Amanda Cook Workshop

On the 10th May 2014 Amanda cook led a classical guitar workshop at Kemnay Church Centre.

14 enthusiatic  guitarists joined the event. The day started with a group guitar technique session. This was followed by an ensemble piece Moon River arranged by Amanda. We split into three groups and after an hour had mastered it so well that Amanda insited we recorded it. The only devices to hand were a collection of iphones! Not to be complacent though we then switched parts so that by the end of the morning we had had a chance to play all parts. A true test of our sight reading skills.

In the afternoon there was a master class opportunity with Amanda and nine players came foward. Everyone learnt a lot from her advice.
